My Process
Using the ADDIE model, I worked on each element of the learning experience until I was satisfied with the look, feel, and content. Before reaching full development, my process included creating an action map, drafting a storyboard, and ultimately designing the eLearning resources.
Text-Based Storyboard
Next, I developed a storyboard that created the layout of the eLearning course. I incorporated the slides, text, and programming notes in one document. This helped visualize the flow of the eLearning and understand how all the information would be presented.
Video Creation and Editing
After completing the storyboard, I proceeded with the development of the videos using Vyond, aligning each video with the corresponding quiz question outcome. The main objective behind these videos is to illustrate to the learner the real-life consequences resulting from their decision-making process.
Final Product
Finally, I used my storyboard to input my information into my slide deck to create the eLearning course. At this time, I also created the workbook, along with a job aid for learners to use as resources. I designed this course in a way that will allow participants to take it on their own time, and have supplemental resources they can use to effectly make an apple pie.
